Every column after the wage is take-home pay. Each row assumes 40 hours a week all year, one paycheck every two weeks, single, no dependents, and no benefits taken out. The monthly and yearly columns are that paycheck times 26. Use the paycheck calculator for your own hours and deductions.
What comes out of an hourly paycheck
At $25 an hour, a two-week paycheck in Nebraska starts at $2,000.00 and ends at $1,622.93.

Nebraska taxes income at 2.46, 3.51, and 4.55 percent for 2026, and the top rate falls to 3.99 percent in 2027. Nebraska's cities and counties do not tax wages and the state has no disability or leave payroll charge, so federal income tax, Social Security, and Medicare are the other lines.
The three rates are low and climb in small steps, so the Nebraska line grows more gradually than in many states.
What changes your number
Nebraska's rate cut is the story. The top rate drops from 4.55 percent to 3.99 percent in 2027, so a higher-wage worker keeps a little more next year than this table shows. The lower rates stay in place.
Form W-4N works through allowances for yourself, a spouse, head of household, and each dependent. Because the three rates are close together, an allowance changes the state line only a little. A raise is taxed at the higher rate once taxable income crosses into the next band.
Hours matter too. At $20 an hour and 30 hours a week instead of 40, a two-week paycheck in Nebraska comes to $1,015.24.
The minimum wage in Nebraska
