Every column after the wage is take-home pay. Each row assumes 40 hours a week all year, one paycheck every two weeks, single, no dependents, and no benefits taken out. The monthly and yearly columns are that paycheck times 26. Use the paycheck calculator for your own hours and deductions.

What comes out of an hourly paycheck

At $25 an hour, a two-week paycheck in Wyoming starts at $2,000.00 and ends at $1,690.85.

Federal income tax$156.15
Social Security$124.00
Medicare$29.00
Wyoming income tax$0.00

Wyoming leaves wages untaxed, so an hourly check loses only federal income tax, Social Security, and Medicare. No state disability or paid leave program takes a share, and no local government does either, which leaves the state line in the deductions table at $0.00.

Every dollar between gross and take-home pay on this page is therefore federal.

What changes your number

A Wyoming paycheck moves with your federal bracket and your hours, and the state adds nothing. Higher rows meet the same federal income tax rates, with Social Security and Medicare staying flat shares of pay.

Pay set aside before tax lowers the federal income tax line, and extra hours raise the check.

Hours matter too. At $20 an hour and 30 hours a week instead of 40, a two-week paycheck in Wyoming comes to $1,048.05.

The minimum wage in Wyoming

The law in Wyoming sets a minimum wage of $5.15 an hour, but the federal minimum of $7.25 applies to nearly every worker, so the table starts there. The state figure matters only for the few jobs federal law does not cover, and a full-time worker at $7.25 takes home about $1,161 a month. Tipped workers have a cash wage of $2.13 an hour before tips.

Disability: No Wyoming statute or state agency program provides a disability or paid family leave payroll deduction. Wyoming's unemployment contributions are the employer's alone: W.S. 27-3-503(a) (Wyoming Statutes Title 27, wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title27.pdf, fetched Oct 29, 2026): contributions "are payable by employers... and shall not be deducted from employee wages."

Local taxes: The same Legislative Service Office table (June 3, 2025) lists the local-option taxes Wyoming allows as sales tax ("4% statewide; 0-3% local option"), use tax, and lodging tax, plus property tax; it lists no local income or wage tax.

Minimum wage: W.S. 27-4-202(a) (Wyoming Statutes Title 27, wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title27.pdf, fetched Oct 29, 2026): "Every employer shall pay to each of his or her employees wages at a rate of not less than five dollars and fifteen cents ($5.15) per hour." This state floor is below the federal $7.25, so in practice nearly every Wyoming worker is owed the federal $7.25 under the Fair Labor Standards Act; the $5.15 state rate matters only for the few jobs the federal law does not cover. The page should say both.
