What comes out of a Oklahoma paycheck
On $1,500 every two weeks, single, an Oklahoma worker keeps $1,242.10.
Oklahoma taxes wages in three steps for 2026, at 2.5 percent, 3.5 percent, and a top rate of 4.5 percent. The Tax Commission's withholding packet, OW-2, gives separate tables for single and married workers in each pay period. The calculator follows those tables.
Before the tables apply, each allowance on Form OK-W-4 subtracts $1,000 a year from your pay. That works out to $19.23 on a weekly check, $38.46 biweekly, $41.67 semimonthly, and $83.33 monthly. You claim one allowance for yourself on line 1, one for a spouse who does not work on line 2 (married workers only), and one for each dependent on line 3. The calculator fills in all three from your answers. Each dependent cuts withholding by up to $45 a year at the top rate.
The OK-W-4 has no head of household box, so a head of household checks Single and uses the single table. The form's information box still lists an older $6,350 single standard deduction, but that figure does not affect withholding. Oklahoma does not subtract federal tax from your wages before figuring its own.
County and local taxes
The Tax Commission's 2026 withholding packet and Form OK-W-4 cover state income tax only. Neither mentions a city or county wage tax, and the OK-W-4 has no local line.
No official Oklahoma page states in so many words that there is no local income tax, so this conclusion rests on those two documents. On that reading, an Oklahoma pay stub shows state tax and nothing local, and the result is not missing a local amount.
Final pay and the minimum wage
Oklahoma's minimum wage law ties the state rate to the federal one, so the minimum is $7.25 an hour. The Department of Labor's state table adds that employers with fewer than ten full-time workers at one location, and annual sales of $100,000 or less, can pay $2.00 an hour.
The tipped cash wage is the federal $2.13 an hour, before tips. A 2025 amendment to state law points to the federal rule. The $2.13 figure comes from the Department of Labor's tipped wage table, not from an Oklahoma page.
When a job ends, whether you quit or are let go, the employer must pay your wages in full by the next regular payday for the pay period in which you did the work. Amounts the employer may offset, and amounts under a good-faith dispute, can be held back.

Local taxes: The Oklahoma Tax Commission's Packet OW-2 for 2026 and Form OK-W-4 (saved in data/sources/oklahoma/, read Oct 29, 2026) describe state income tax withholding only, with no city or county wage tax and no local line on the OK-W-4. No official Oklahoma page saying "no local income tax" in those words was found (see openQuestions).
Disability and paid leave: Oklahoma runs no state disability or paid-family-leave program paid by an employee payroll deduction: Packet OW-2 for 2026 (saved as data/sources/oklahoma/WHTables-2026.pdf, read Oct 29, 2026) covers state income tax as the only state withholding on wages; no Oklahoma law or agency page describing such a program was found.
Minimum wage: 40 O.S. Section 197.2, Oklahoma Minimum Wage Act (oscn.net/applications/oscn/DeliverDocument.asp?CiteID=77537, saved as data/sources/oklahoma/40-os-197.2.html, read Oct 29, 2026): "no employer within the State of Oklahoma shall pay any employee a wage of less than the current federal minimum wage for all hours worked." The federal rate is $7.25. Cross-checked against U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, "State Minimum Wage Laws" (dol.gov/agencies/whd/minimum-wage/state, "Updated July 1, 2026", saved as data/sources/oklahoma/dol-whd-state-minimum-wage.html, read Oct 29, 2026), which lists $7.25 for employers with ten or more full-time employees at one location or annual gross sales over $100,000, and $2.00 for all other employers (40 O.S. Section 197.5, saved as data/sources/oklahoma/40-os-197.5.html). No scheduled change.

The section applies to any termination, whether the worker quits or is let go.
